Ahaha I was just checking my Facebook feed, as you do when you have eight hours until class and do not want to start your homework, and I saw that one of the seniors on the team (who I was hooking up with all season) was just listed in a relationship. And he's an amazing guy and I'm really glad for him, so I was curious to see who it was... and it is Genevieve Cortese's twin, I swear! I honestly just Googled her picture and stared at them for a second because damn, they are identical. Oh fandom, you invade my life in so many ways. :)
...oh, if only he had been Jared Padalecki. Daydreaming now, kthx.

I'm also in an incredibly awkward situation with one of my best friends here, because he's awesome and a really great guy and then I realize that we're actually dating. Ahaha. Um. I have never had to deal with this, considering I have never been asked out before much less gone on a date, so I've spent the last 24 hours being a thirteen-year-old girl. Which sucks, and I really want to ignore it, but I also just got confirmation of this from all of the other guys and now I don't know what to do with myself. Someone slap me into maturity, please.

eta To clarify, I'm completely happy being single and hooking up if I want to with whoever I want to. I didn't think this would be an issue because HE KNOWS THAT. I have made this rather clear to pretty much all of my friends by now. :)

It is not - he is such a good person, but I just really don't want to date anyone. I am completely happy being single and hooking up if I want to, and I didn't think this would be an issue because HE KNOWS THAT. I have made this rather clear to pretty much all of my friends by now. :) And so now I'm caught in a ridiculous dance of sort-of avoiding him so I don't have to deal with it and wanting to go hang out because, you know, friends! Gah.

Nonono, I am not encouraging this! Haha, Emily just made me realize that I was not clear at all - I'm really not looking to date anyone. But I stayed with him most of the week because after my allergic reaction the doctors told me to stay out of my dorm in case it was something there, and he brought me ice cream that night and then breakfast and everything. Which his (our) friends inform me means that I'm being really obtuse, because I interpreted this as him being the best friend ever. And this is also the boy who I'm marathoning all 5 seasons of SPN with. And I just don't want to fuck that up. :)

I'm kind of with you now. People keep wondering why I'm not dating, but after all the drama I've had in the apartment over a guy that I vaguely know (and it's still apparently ongoing) I'm still happy to be single. Even if the drama may be part of it, I like being single, being happy for myself.

So I kind of get what you mean. ♥

I like being single! It means that I can go drink with my Delta Sig boys or go to another house with girls and it's all okay, no one's jealous and I don't have to be accountable to someone else. I feel like I can barely handle freshman year anyway. :)
