Senior Field Studies

marenziSpent last weekend on senior field studies with the rest of my class - huge improvement over the last few years because we got a fair amount of free time. They sent us up to North East Maryland (no, not a typo - the town's name was North East) to this little camp on the bay. That was my first look at any kind of natural water on the east coast, and I'm still shuddering. Idaho > greasy pond scum. I understand why people were so creeped out when I mentioned swimming in the lakes and rivers out west!
My pyro side loved the huge campfires we built, because I really haven't been camping since we moved east. My clothes still smell like the smoke, which is weirdly nostalgic for me. Some of my best memories are from camping with the guys in Idaho and Alaska.
First day of school tomorrow, and I'm really wondering if I hibernated through summer or something because it's only felt like a month. I can only guess that it seemed so short because of the five weeks of engineering classes, which... yeah, was a lot more like school than going to the beach, but was still fun. I'm still glad I managed to get a few weeks of work in during August.
I'm curious to see my schedule, though, because last I heard, they were pulling me out of a couple of my math classes. You'd think they'd want to encourage that, but apparently they're kicking me out of my math electives because I'm also taking BC Calc. I'm waiting to rant until I see what they've shuffled me into.
(Also, GRATUITOUS ICON LOVE. I'm sure it'll be relevant once school starts!)
